Frequently Asked Questions
I cannot connect to Warez?
There can be a number of reasons for not connecting properly to Warez. All the issues we have discovered are addressed here: Connection Issues
I am connected, but I cannot download!
Firstly, make sure you are connected with a green status. If you are connected with a green status, the most common problem is flooding your connection with too much uploading. First thing to do is close any internet application. Now you need to check your connection speed. You can do this here: http://www.dslreports.com/stest Once you have determined your upload speed (in KB/s) we recommend you subtract 10 from that number, then in Warez go to Main -> Preferences -> Network -> Transfer, and select the nearest number to that value. You may wish to do that same thing for downloading. Now restart Warez and see how it performs.
If you are still having a problem another option (particularly if you have a poor internet connection) is to lower the nuber of peers you connect to. In Warez go to Main -> Preferences -> Network and change the value of "Max connections". Perhaps try halfing the number, restart warez. If it is still slow, repeat the process. Note that with the lower number of peers you are connected to, the worse your searches and downloads will be!
I can download but it is very slow.
The best solution will probably be to the question above. Also check you have a green status.
What is the latest version of Warez?
We are endlessly updating Warez. You can check you have the latest version by going to Help -> Check version, in Warez. If you want the exact build number, then go to C:\Program Files\Warez (or where you installed Warez). Now right-click on Warez.exe and go to Properties. Now go to the version tab, and you will see the build number under "File version". For example: 3.0.2.29
